Who we are

The site is operated by DATABYTE, a company registered in Romania, with its office in Sibiu. The contact details are in the footer of every page.

Using the site

The content of the site — text, images, code and structure — belongs to us and may not be reproduced commercially without written agreement.

The information on the site is presented in good faith, but it does not constitute a firm offer. Prices shown as “from” are starting points; the final price is set in a written quote.

Quotes, prices and deadlines

Every project starts with a written quote which states the scope, the price and the delivery terms. What is not written in the quote is not included.

Prices are shown without VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment terms are agreed per project, usually in stages.

Delivery dates depend on receiving the content and the approvals from you. A delay on your side moves the date accordingly.

Referral commission

If you recommend a company that becomes our client, you receive 10% of the value of the first invoiced project, after it has been paid in full.

The recommendation must be made before we have had any contact with that company, and the person recommended must know that you passed on their details.

Rights over what we deliver

Once the project is paid in full, the source code, the design and the data belong to you, together with the documentation.

We keep the right to mention the project in our portfolio and to describe the work in general terms, unless you ask us in writing not to.

Third-party components — libraries, fonts, purchased images — keep their own licences, which we state in the handover.

Liability

We are liable for the work we deliver, within the limits of the agreed quote. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profit, or problems caused by changes made by others after handover.

For hosting and maintenance plans, the response times written in the contract apply.

Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. We try to settle any disagreement by talking first.

If that does not work, consumers can use the ANPC platform or the European ODR platform, both linked in the footer. Otherwise, the courts of Sibiu have jurisdiction.
